One Kimono Day at Kitsuki
It's quite funny, I wore yukata twice in Indonesia (even learned how to wear one in Indonesia), wore yukata only once in Japan, and never try on kimono even though I've been staying here for almost two years~ (What's the difference between Yukata and Kimono? google it lol)
I actually wanted to go to Kitsuki since 2013, but somehow my plan got canceled till this year's April.. I went there in hope to catch some sakura too, but obviously I wasn't so lucky since the weather was kinda weird... It rained like almost everyday and so windy... so most of the sakura petals were on the ground already.. That happened to my hanami this year too, but it was still pretty~
like this..
Need to sit down to catch the Sakura..

anyway, back to Kitsuki. I went there with le bf and a friend. The kimono rent cost about 2,400 yen (if you have a guy with you, you can get couple discount.. I got couple discount with le bf~! Woopie~!), and if you want a bag and hair accessories, you gonna pay 100 yen more for each.. You also gonna need to bring Tabi (the Japanese socks) to use it with their Geta (the sandals), but if you don't have, fear not, they also sell it for 100 yen only :)
The kimono rental open till 4 pm only, so you have to go there quite early.. You can rent the kimono, and walk around, looking at the traditional houses (some houses will let you in for free just because you wear a kimono) and drink matcha (got special price also for wearing kimono)
So, lets start from the kimono rental's place
They have so many options! I had quite a hard time to choose only one lol
Well, no surprise that I chose pink, right? lol
The so yasashii sweet obaasan who helped me to wear the kimono~
She's so lovely and very kind <3
Ok, I'm DONE and ready to go!
yeap, you can actually go inside the house~ I actually took like zillion pictures, but decide not to share all of them here, or you guys probably won't open my blog anymore~
enough with my face lol, here's the matcha parfait I had.. It was a warm day that I decided to had this cold treat instead of having matcha (the tea I mean)
So, I guess that's it~
I really love Kitsuki! I got to see the traditional Japan and they are so beautiful! It feels like a little Kyoto here.. I probably like here even better actually since it's not that crowded :D
Ok, I shall end this post with my favorite shots!
Alright, see you in the next post!
